Daniel Kertcher Financial Abundance for Life

Chapter 5. Our Trading Strategies

As you have been reading through this book, you have been learning about the concept I call a Financially Abundant Mentality, and I have identified some of the strategies that I’ve personally used to develop a Financially Abundant Mentality for myself.

Over the years, with lots of trial and error and lots of ups and downs, I have refined a set of key strategies that I find work for me in terms of building wealth, creating a Financially Abundant Mentality, and ensuring that I have the ideal business, with all the features we discussed. I now want to share with you what some of those strategies are and how they work.

The instruments that have allowed me to really catapult my Financially Abundant Mentality to a high level are in the stock and financial markets. Although real estate was the instrument that first switched me on to the idea of a Financially Abundant Mentality, real estate in my opinion has a lot of shortcomings. Namely, the fact that you need a lot of money to get started in real estate, and it generally takes a long time to see a good return.

We need something that is going to make money fast. That is where the stock and financial markets come in because these markets move very quickly. They are a much more active and dynamic marketplace.

As we know, one of the key ingredients to developing a Financially Abundant Mentality is accessing a high return on our investments. We talked about leverage in Chapter Two. Leverage is the key to making a lot of money from our investments, when, of course, the investment goes in our favour.
