At 26 years of age, he was quickly burning out. The great thing about MetaShare, however, was that from Daniel’s perspective, it was an excellent way to learn how to trade the markets, as he was immersed in the training courses and techniques every single day. 

In 2000, Daniel had the great privilege of meeting Anthony Robbins, the American motivational coach. Daniel attended all the Robbins courses that year and the final course was held at Robbins’ own personal resort in Fiji, over nine days with only 50 attendees. The intimate nature of the seminar, and Tony’s fantastic course were enough to show Daniel that the key to having a fulfilled life did not mean working seven days a week on a business, whilst sacrificing lifestyle, health and relationships.  It meant having a balanced approach, taking time for all of life’s needs. 

Daniel returned from the Fiji course and to the surprise of the other directors of MetaShare, he sold his stake in the company. 

At 27, Daniel had decided that he had made enough money to retire, and focus on his own personal stock and options trading, whilst spending time on the other areas of his life.  It was a difficult choice at the time, to sell a business that was like his own baby, but in time it would prove to be the best decision he ever made. 

A week later he met a wonderful woman, Julie, who in 2003 became his wife.  A month later he was contacted by Anthony Robbins’ Australian promoters who asked him to teach options at the upcoming Robbins’ Wealth Mastery seminar.  Both events have had profound impacts on his life and both were the result of attending the Fiji seminar!
